Even then, I had to be very cautious when I actually got on my computer as I had to save everything every time as the monitor of my computer had a habit of shutting itself off every other minute and just left the backlight on. And I realized that I was using Facebook more than ever before; because of the YouTube application I used it more often too. That was the moment I realized that it was because of the unavailability of easy access to Facebook that I wasn’t an addict earlier. As compared to other people I am not an addict still as I have learned to live without it.
As compared to other individuals, I have realized that I am not addicted to text other people too. The issue is not the easy accessibility, as I have an easy access to texting. I am more of a private person which contributes to my non-addiction to texting. This reason could also be combined to the fact that I am not that active on Facebook. I prefer to communicate in person and I like to have time exclusively to myself. Thus, I would say that an impact on the use of the technology could be regarded to the personality of an individual; this could be regarded to as a good thing. I believe in that fact that it is not necessary that everyone needs to voice out their opinion to rest of the world. The world sometimes requires quiet and peace. Thus, the impact of the technology which in my case was iPod Touch and Facebook wasn’t much. I regard my personality as a crucial factor for the same, and at the same time it was the easy access to the technology which made my usage to Facebook more than before. The impact of an introduction of new technology is different on different individuals.
