There is a broad difference between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
– Dementia implies the symptoms that cause memory problems and affect the performance of a person to communicate and socialize with others.
– On the other hand, Alzheimer’s disease is a form of dementia which affects memory, cognition and language.
The disease worsens as the person ages. It is not a problem with the old age but a problem as the person continues to age and this is unavoidable. The treatments to control the symptoms are already available but they have not worked well to cure the disease. They also assure to temporarily control the worsening and improve overall quality of life. It is feasible to delay its inception but impossible to stop it from developing as the cause is unknown but the consequences are hazardous.
Some commonly identified causes of this disease include HIV, stroke, aggressive drug use and vascular disease. The direct damage to brain happens several years before symptoms are noticeable. The abnormal protein cells lead to formation of tangles and plaques in brain which leads to loss of connection between the cells. As the cells begin to die, brain achieves a shrinkage. In general, the disease is determined by an autopsy. People who face dementia exhibit involuntary movements.
Though Alzheimer’s disease is a broad area, the symptoms are quite similar to dementia. The treatment varies. When Alzheimer’s disease combines with dementia, the end result is fatal. The terminal illness does not have a proper remedy to rectify. People with Alzheimer’s disease are found to live up to 20 years and this is also a rare case. The communication disabilities are the reasons to the evolution of dementia. When unnoticed at a younger age, it can go fatal as the person ages. It affects by all means. The interaction with brain happens at a rapid pace such that the deterioration begins and worsens. It is also evident from the behaviour of a person. It shows a sudden transition of the person to do abnormal activities.

Alzheimer’s disease is all about the loss of synapses and neurons that form major part of cerebral region of brain. The loss of such neurons results in degeneration happening at 2 lobes – parietal and temporal. Tangles are identified as protein microtubular aggregates that find spaces within the cells whereas plaques are dense and are mostly present around the neurons. The oxidative stress is regarded as free radicals and this is an important pathology tenet of Alzheimer’s. Those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease face brain inflammation. Cerebrovascular issues develop with older patients who are already affected with Alzheimer’s disease.

On 20th April 2010, the 5,000-foot-deep Macondo Mississippi Canyon Block well erupted after a blowout. This indicated that the incident resulted in the explosion of BP PLC-leased Deepwater Horizon offshore oil drilling platform.
Transocean Ltd was the owner of this platform which is located about 40 miles southeast of the Louisiana coast. This Deepwater Horizon incident of blast killed 11 platform workers and 17 others were injured. More seriously, this platform sank to the bottom of the sea for about two days because of lasting conflagration. Crude oil at the rate of up to 9,000 barrels a day leaked into the Gulf of Mexico. The reason behind this was due to the damaged wellhead sinking to the sea floor which was caused by the failure of the platform along with the fault of the blowout prevention system (Sylves and Comfort, 2012). The disaster had harmful and long to short-term economic and environmental effects. Coastal marine mammal species were destroyed; for instance, more than 1,000 sea turtles and 1 million seabirds were killed. The nearby commercial fishing industry was estimated to have a loss of $247 million, as a result of the post spill fishing closure (Adams, 2015).

According to Ansoff, weak signals can be explored early in life and can be cutoff. However, it is the question of which majority of the people wants to find an answer: why did so many experts or experienced workers missed the signs of explosion of the well? Unexpected can be defined as coming without warning; something unforeseen, although it looks like an apparent discrepancy.
Many researches on the groundwork of incidents and several recent studies on predictable surprise ( Bazerman & Warkins, 2004) disclosed that in most cases unexpected events develop not instantaneous or occur with warning, ‘their seeds are sown long before chaos arrives in small issues, errors or failures that are unnoticed or misunderstood and subsequently concatenate into catastrophes” (Reason,1997).
According to an investigator’s report who sievied through the internal files of BP, he stated that although the well had been suffered with technical issues, it revealed that some warning signs have been ignored by the BP executives, Transocean, the rig managers and the drilling crew. BP admitted that its managers on the oil rig picked up a breach of the cement seal’s warning signs at the bottom of the well and they continued to work after a test check for spill in the well. The report stated that something wrong happened in pressure test readings. It is not only in the hour before the blast, but also in the days, weeks, and even months before. On 5th April 2009, Transocean Ltd, in a 10-page operations advisory, asked for the Deepwater crew to avoid complacency and pay more attention to well control (Cameron and Spreitzer, 2012).The lack of foresight and low vigilance made BP’s managers and workers fail to instantly discover the hidden crisis. Accumulated small mistake ignored with time may lead to the occurrence of such unforeseen events at a frequent rate.

The end of era of reconstruction and the last two decades of the 19the century had been very significant for the industrial and technological developments in United States. The early landmark for the industrial revolution in America came by the end of the 19th century. This revolution was initiated when new manufacturing technologies were brought by Samuel Slater from Britain (Tindall and Shi 75). He was the person, who founded the first cotton mill of United States in Beverly, Massachusetts. The fast railroad in the mid of 19th century helped the industries and business to grow on fast pace (Donaldson and Hornbeck 802). The mill set up by Slater and many other industries and factories that sprang up in the late 19th century, mainly worked through the power generated by water. The industrial development in United States was mainly marked in the Northeast and it set the stage for the rapid industrial development based on the British innovations (Tindall and Shi 80). Northeast Industrial development facilitated the development of the means of transportations, such as railroads and canals etc. The development of the economy and transportation significantly encouraged the trade and economy.
The main technological innovations in the 19th century were the invention of telegraph by Samuel F. B. Morse, steam boat service firm established on the Hudson River and invention of the sewing machine by Elias Howe before the civil war (Cowan 10). Following the civil war, the industrialization in America had grown rapidly because the American industries were making the consumer goods that were directly sold to the consumers (Buzanand Lawson 623). Some of the common consumer goods made in America were shoes, cloths, flour mills and packed meat. Most of the industries were small and had few workers. The high demand of the consumer goods increased the industrialization process.
Heavy industry grew rapidly, which made products like heavy machineries, engines and iron rails. Therefore, the main reason behind the technological development was the industrialization in America, and on the other hand, industrialization fueled technological development to meet the needs of the consumers. Since technology made transportation easier, the industries and factories could easily increase their market reach and were able to grow their business (Cowan 30). Some of the significant reasons that supported in the industrial development in United States were: (1) large supply of the raw material that were required for making consumer goods and this raw material included lumber, oil, coal, iron and cloths; (2) America was the nation with growing large population, which provided the large number of workers in the factories and large number of consumers to buy consumer products (Cowan 212); (3) technological advancement had led to growth and development of the railroads and river systems, which facilitated the transportation of the raw material and finished goods at low costs (Donaldson and Hornbeck 812); (4) America had large amount of capital to establish new industries and factories; (5) population of America included the large number of educated and skilled people, who were able to make machineries and could conduct manufacturing methods easily and (6) the most significant reason was that Government of America made many significant efforts for development and improvement of American industries.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander are the people from the oldest cultural heritage and they have not been recognized by the constitution of Australia. In the convention debate of 1890 that lead to the drafting of the Australian constitution in 1901, Aboriginal people were not recognized and only few people voted for them (Referendum Council, 2016). The Australian Constitution came into effect on 1 January 1901 and since then, it is considered as the most powerful set of laws in Australia. Aboriginals are the “First People” of the land yet their rights are strongly ignored in the Australian constitution (Constitutional Recognition, 2012).
Since enforcement of the Constitution of Australian in 1901, many policies and laws have been enacted that has discriminated against the first people of Australian land (Referendum Council, 2016). The main objective for recognizing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in constitution is important for protecting them against various kinds of discriminations and unfair treatment that these people had to face (Constitutional Recognition of Indigenous Australians, 2011). The main reason that these people were not recognized in the constitution is that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as well as the members of the ethnic community were not allowed to participate in the conventions (Henderson, 2015). Therefore, the predominant views and prejudicing perspectives of the British men, who were invited in the conventions to draft the constitution, were included in the constitution (Constitutional Recognition of Indigenous Australians, 2011).
At the time of drafting of the Australian Constitution, the history, culture, occupation and rights of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander were not considered as valuable or important, as they were considered as the “dying race” (Irving, 2012). However, the changes in the constitution are likely to succeeded because Aboriginal people in Australia are considered as the part of total population and has been successful accepted in the referendum of 1967 (Henderson, 2015). The evidences have shown that other countries have recognized the “aboriginal rights”. Canada recognized the rights of aboriginal people as the first people of land.
The referendum is likely to be successful because, in the year 2010, Australia’s “National Report” to the UN Human Rights Council for the purpose of Universal Periodic Review confirmed that, Australia government is committed to recognize the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Australian Constitution (Constitutional Recognition of Indigenous Australians, 2011). The constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is supported by the 18th and 19th articles of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (2007). These articles support the good faith and rights of the indigenous people (UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, 2007).
