- Neanderthals is an extinct ancestor of the modern humans. The evolutionary relationship between the two species is important in order to enhance the resolution of hominin phylogenetic hypotheses. The article highlights the presence of four different chronologies that support the evolutionary relationship (Endicott et al, 2010). The chronologies are entirely based on the hominin taxonomy. The article has taken the genetic data as an independent estimate in order to differentiate and gain better insight on the hominin evolution. After the analysis of the evolutionary relationship between 2 identified species, the mean date estimates to about 410-440 ka (Endicott et al, 2010). On the whole, the results have insisted on the research of Pleistocene hominin fossil record to study in–depth as well as make a better use of the genetic evidences that are currently available. This article can certainly be used as an evidence for the evolution of modern humans and creationism due to the point that it makes high–end research with chronologies, genetic background analysis and distinct human lineages.
- EO Wilson is a professor and honorary curator in the field of entomology. He has produced works on the social behavior ranging from ants to humans. He begins the talk with the possibility for extinction of insects when people wipe out specific groups of it. The significant point highlighted here is the unknown nature of organisms in science. He has taken an attempt as a conservationist (TED, 2007). He recommends a well – developed biosphere, implementation of human genome project and develop human consciousness in the process of developing the biology such that it remains helpful to the humanity. The talk has greatly mobilized the dream to perform practical applications to save the organisms and avoid extinction in the future (TED, 2007).
