During the process of the ICT implementation phase, a number of factors which are inherent to working of the organizations play an important role. It can be considered that business analysis influences these factors which determine the style and the manner of working of the ICT implementation. There is also a need to balance the operational and strategic goals of the organizations, while implementing the ICT variables which can be carried forward as a part of the overall working of the organization (Remenyi, Money, Bannister, & Remenyi, 2007).
Business analysis undertakes the process of getting the right people and resources on board. This would mean that the ICT implementation process is benefitted by the presence of proper synergy, which is provided through the right kind of human resources and other forms of resources. These kinds of resources are likely to bolster the chances of proper ICT implementation. As such, these kinds of resources development as a part of business process is important for the ICT development (Remenyi, Money, Bannister, & Remenyi, 2007).
During the process of ICT implementation, a number of stakeholders of the organization are likely to have different and conflicting needs. Business analysis process ensures the synergy between these needs and brings conflicting needs to common grounds for smoother implementation. So, inter-departmental conflicts are resolved through the process of business analysis, and ensure that the common approach is clearly established for better management of the implementation (Frisendal, 2012).
Often, organizations have to face a scenario wherein ICT implementation drives the need to have changes in the existing operational processes. This would mean that business analysis would ensure which the ICT implementation would be followed by the changes in the operations to accommodate the new working system under the ICT process. Such kind of changes would be necessary to clearly ensure that the organization is equipped to manage the working of the operations as per the ICT norms. It would also allow the organization to take benefits of the automation and other changes brought as a part of the ICT implementation (Frisendal, 2012).
