In this aspect, the processes they use are efficient by nature.
In this aspect, Belbin’s Team role plays significance where the analysis regarding the individual roles and performances within a team are measured. Under Belbin, Ad Hoc team can be characterized as a behavioural pattern where the positive interaction is important between the employees so that they are able to correct the weaknesses of other employees. This can be termed as allowable weaknesses. These concepts and theories helped me in understanding the importance of team in organizations. Team is responsible in performing evaluation that is measuring and accessing the organizational safety rules and procedures (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, 2017).In this prospect, Belbin’s concept holds greater importance where certain attributes are vital to be present among the team members to achieve future organizational perspectives. The first one is Plant. This implies creative as well as imaginative individuals who are capable in solving organizational complexities. One of the mostly used important theories which are essential for this segment of the assignment is the application of Tuckman and Jensen’s Group Development theory.
It simply states that there are five stages of team development. They are forming, storming, norming, performing as well as adjourning. The forming is known as orientation stage where the group of individuals brings together specific organizational purpose. Storming suggests that conflict situation arises and in order to solve these problems, changes are required in the nature of tasks. The next stage is norming and it is known as cohesion stage where team members are present to frame closer relationships with each other. Performing is characterized as the fully matured stage where the structural efficiencies and the organisational cohesiveness are needed for organizational development (Institute for employment studies ,2017).This entire concept of team building in turn made me knowledgeable enough to deal with safety issues within NCFL.
