As a result, accountants play crucial roles in sustainability strategy and accounting sustainability. Business organizations have to present compelling data of sustainability that can be accessed by all stakeholders of the company (Mrsik and Kostovski, 2015).

The aim of this research proposal is to present a qualitative analysis of sustainability accounting and its significance while understanding the role played by management accountants in this concept. Providing a detail literature review, the overall research will present the significance of sustainability accounting in businesses. In addition, an interview will be conducted with five management accountants selected randomly on a specific social website. The detail of this interview is provided in the section of research methods. Further ahead, this research proposal has identified the ethical issues that will be faced in conducting this research.
