An accounting information system is usually a developed or an interfaced computing, collection method for accounting data. However services offered by vendors on SaaS might also be directly used by businesses with minimum IT resources. At present AIS systems are bundled into ERP systems although there are some specific AIS service providers also. In the bundled version, the NetSuite ERP by NetSuite is an ERP solution for versatile business infrastructures. It personalizes dashboards and has the capacity to reduce financial closings by more than fifty precent (NetSuite, 2014). The Plex Systems, Sage and IQMS are other ERP systems that bundle AIS. Sage is the more cost effective of these systems and is available at leases for 2.6K USD per user. On the other hand NetSuite, Plex and IQMS’s EnterpriseIQ have a SOA compliant architecture. The SOA complaint architecture will be useful for building further apps to extent the usability of the cloud.

3) Challenges and Benefits in cloud based AIS adoption
Accounting Information Systems for business organizations, attempt to improve the quality and quantity of information that is being networked through organizations for various business purposes. The AIS is basically an integrated unit that attempts to solve the complexity issues of businesses. In evaluating the role of accounting information systems in business organizations and governance, Granlund (2011) identifies AIS as having very meager impact on Accounting and the Information Systems fields. However this is more of a research gap as argued for by other researchers such as Sutton (2009) who state that AIS is a borderline between the two fields.
