The big five personality model is used for analyzing the traits of the personality of the individuals and is comprised of five elements. These five criteria’s are present in every individual, some have one or two of them and some have one of these factors. Every individual is different and every category is important and good. The five elements of the big five model will be discussed in this section along with the scoring criteria of all the five elements.
1. Extraversion: this trait is commonly known as the surgency and the people coming under this category have the personality traits like: energetic, social or person who talks a lot, expressiveness, high amount of energy assertive and self confident. Individuals scoring high on this category have high amount if energy and are social. These people are good in doing the jobs at call centers, marketing or persuasive selling jobs. (Griffin, 2007).
2. Agreeableness: according to this element the individual has the traits like affectionate, sympathetic, kind and loving. Attributes like trust, altruism are present in these individuals. Individuals scoring high on this category have high amount of affection and love for others and their relationships. People scoring low on this category have low level of affection towards their relationships. (Griffin, 2007).
Conscientiousness: these individuals have the personality traits that make them organized and they tend to plan about everything. These individuals have a good impulsive control and this makes them goal oriented and direct. Individuals who are high in conscientiousness are mindful and organized.
