Creating Difference in small and large enterprises
As already discussed that implementing technological changes results in investments, it is simply increasing a gap between small scale enterprises and medium to large scale enterprises. Organizations in small scale level are not able to afford such technological change in the industry due to high cost and therefore it becomes tough to sustain in the competitive market. As a result they need to close down their business or suffer with low profit figures. Shutting down business results in unemployment and at times it results in many countries in criminal activities by people who are unemployed just for the sake of getting money to survive.
It has become a global debate to manage social issues resulting from interaction with science and technology in different organizational processes. World organizations such as United Nations, World Bank, UNESCO, etc are highly concerned about their development goals to minimize the issues from technological changes to attain sustainability and create social wellness of the people. Access to new and appropriate technologies must be addressed by regional or national level organizations with public sector units to improve living conditions the most vulnerable populations, and drive productivity gains which ensure rising incomes.
