Sir John Soane was a renowned architecture of his days and was known for buildings of neo- classical style. He was the son of a bricklayer and had one elder brother William Soan. He was the professor of the royal academy in the field of architecture. He received the honour of knighthood in 1831. The best known of Sir John Soane’s was the bank of London and the gallery of Dulwich Picture gallery. During the span of time of his life he met Eliza and got married to her. He was a man who has most of his interests in building museums and galleries. After his marriage he was quite inspired by the collection of his wife. His fundamental legacy is an eponymous historical center in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, which involves his previous home and office, intended to show the works of art and compositional ancient rarities that he gathered amid his lifetime. The historical center is portrayed in the Oxford Dictionary of Architecture as ‘a standout amongst the most unpredictable, mind boggling, and quick arrangement of insides ever conceived’.

After the dead of his wife, the collection of the structures, paintings, drawings and sculptures was influenced by the choices of his wife. He wanted the space to be educational for the students which could bale to know about art and architecture, the choices of the drawings and antiquities which would help them to gain enough knowledge to get into the depth of the field. The origin of the collection from the imaginative mind of Sir John Saone, he was a discriminating collector who has a hoarding mentality of a covered rat and a scariness of the empty space in the room. He was very fond of antique things which he gathered from different places with the mind to decorate his house. His wife was very much fond of beautiful artefacts; she also collected different things which have been displayed in the house. Sir John Soane organized the things in the home is such an organized manner that the collection look like the basic requirement of that house. Every room was decorated with so much planning that it does not seem like the normal exhibition.
