Her work is based on predictions and illusions about present and future and in her work she explains behaviors of the individuals in different situations mostly in relationships that are the most important part of an individual. She has the strength to imagine and grab the attention of the audience by using myths and fiction in her stories. She has a basic composition for her poems and that is applied on the basis of experience and significance. She suggests that gap is present between experience and meaning. Mind is telling to stop but the heart never listens and demands something else. Her work conflicts with the truth and how she uses it in the comprehension. This is main tension present in the mythology and history. Central problem remains the same but the story changes.
The main theme of the poem is about the different shapes of the heart that can change shapes and dimensions with the changing situations. This poem discusses about a nitty-gritty love that is unusual than the ordinary love. Writer portrays her pain by explaining the pain in the first section of the poem by calling her as an unshelled turtle and how she is having anxiety. All the lines in this poem are six syllables long except for the last two lines of the poem. This can be discussed as the breakage in the pattern that is breaking the tradition of the writer. She compares the heart with pain and explains that for people it is just a muscle that is working inside human body. She discusses about the isolation of the heart that is compared with a caved hermit. Now if the meaning of hermit is concerned, it means that; people who want to make individual decisions that are away from the society.
