This section will incorporate some actual media representations which are more current and which can be connected with Foucault’s discourse. There is much debate on how Foucault fits into the feminist debate. Foucauldian feminism has some underlying assumptions that could fit into present media representations and their analysis just as well as their male counterparts. However, the Postmodernist representation of the modern women requires more than the post structuralist theory that Foucault proposes.  Foucault’s theory places much emphasis on the rejection of norms which steal the ability for feminism to be portrayed as an emancipator political movement. However the same argument of his opposing, the universal norms can be seen as step towards inclusion for the feminine sect into political institutions, power houses and more. McLaren (2012) places the argument that Foucault’s presentation of strong critiques on humanistic values that the liberal feminists most strongly believe in is what gives makes the antithesis. However in its rejection of norms, his portrayal of how power could contradict liberal fundamentalism, he is in fact advocating a political engagement that increases freedom for all. Understanding that power is not just being passed on in one specific way is by itself ,the key to establish that women’s docile bodies has been presented in the same way as well in today’s capitalist culture. So the arguments that feminism places against Foucault and feminism, can in fact accept his theory to understand the changes that women have turned into. They have been disciplined into ornamental bodies which conversion will require discipline and punishments in the form of induced insecurities and more. Women in contemporary society are a body that is primarily decorative. Female styles have evolved to inculcate more sexualized imagery, a seductress in fashion, extravagant and more (Teëlon, 1995)
