It is a general idea that almost everyone while trying to seek a job has a motive of earning money and hence money is the sole motivation behind seeking employment. Anyone saying otherwise might be taken as a fool at first. However this obvious truth changes within a short period of time. Entering an organization for seeking a job and maintaining the consistency of doing the same job over a long period of time are two completely different aspects of one’s job career. As described earlier, employee motivation is an important activity in any organization as the priorities of an employee changes over a period of time. The activity becomes more important when the task at hand demands excellence and there is no place for errors and negligence. After joining an organization, in course of time, it has been observed by the scholars that the productivity graph of an employee starts moving down. There can be numerous reasons for this. A few to list will be job dissatisfaction, not liking to do the same job repeatedly for a long duration of time, unhealthy work environment, hostile team environment, less or no acknowledgement of work, etc.
