United States saw an increase in GDP of around 2.5 percent during the third quarter as compared to the quarter previous to that. This number is published by Bureau of Economic Analysis. United States of Nation is one of the largest consumers across the globe and is also one of the most technologically advanced nations. Hence even though the growth has slowed in US it still remains the largest market for Pepsi.
However Pepsi is not located in US but it has presence globally. So only the growth indicators of US will not affect the sales of the company. Company is heavily focusing on the emerging market economies and hence the company’s next growth will come from these investments (Pepsi Co., 2013)
Pepsi is one of the world’s largest companies in terms of sales and operations in the beverage industry. Pepsi has operations across the globe Company produces around five hundred non-alcoholic drinks. These beverages consist of beverages which are still like water, enhanced waters, juices, drinks consisting of juice , teas which are ready to drink , coffees which are ready to drink.
All these products are intended to refresh the consumers. Companies tie up with different institutions to help the consumers and the local community of the place where the company operates. Company has taken many initiatives to improvise the lives of the people. The company is working towards improvising the climate by reducing the emissions, using sustainable packaging. Company 1% of the pre-tax profits goes to CSR activities which is a huge amount given the size of the company (Pepsi Co., 2013).
