However, he soon become determinant that he has to survive in any condition and should not bear the immoral violence. The fight for the freedom was the main aim of the enslaved people. The social discrepancies were increased between black and white.
This film proved to be a classic to depict the pain and feelings of the people who were abducted to be thrown in slavery. Northup was a literate man; he struggles to get back his dignity and to stay alive. This movie shows the other side of the slavery, where people were not only forcefully but were kidnapped to be sold as slaves. He film has shown the verifiable accounts of the slave experiences in the South antebellum of America
