Undoubtedly the leadership styles of both personalities had a deciding affect on the outcome of the battle. The timing of the battle chosen by Lee was not appropriate as his old and trusted senior officials were not with him. He became egoistic and overlooked organization’s goal. Also he didn’t take right decisions at the right time.  Colonel Chamberlain was quite abandoned and not ready to back off from the hill named `little round top’ instead of casualties and less arms and ammunition.
