There is importance given to the lean manufacturing system and the concept of Total Quality Management has stemmed from this theory. This was known as the “Just in Time” production. This is based on many of the theories of the Total Quality Management and Scientific Management.

Taylor Theory of Scientific Management of the people is based on four major principles. The first principle is that the people need to use the scientific method to work and determine the most efficient process to perform the tasks. Rather than assigning workers to a job, there must be allocation of jobs and responsibilities based on the innate capabilities of the workers (Michie, et al., 2016). The third factor is the monitoring of the worker performances. They provide instructions and supervision to the workers to determine the most efficient way of working. The fourth principle is that it allocates the managers and workers in a manner that would ensure maximum productivity in the workplaces.
