Science and literature are inter-related. In ancient times, people use different forms of poetry to express their feelings and medium of communication. When science and technology was first talked about, it used same form to discuss these ideas. However, modern people such as engineers and scientists feel that this idea of merging science with literature as irrelevant and irritating. Most scientists and engineer feels that the basis of science and technology is mathematics and literature does not play any role in it (Latour, 1987). However, literature is something which gives science an added flavor and essence, which helps in understanding difficult concepts of science and technology. Literature makes science interesting and easy to gasp. The true face of science looks ugly when surrounded by numbers and equations, but literature brings that beauty through the use of English language which is preferred by many people. The nineteenth and the twentieth century have seen a vast improvement in the field of science and technology. The impact was so much, that most of the people were attracted towards this field. A vast majority of people looks for a career in the field of science. The impact was so big that authors and writers felt that science is the new topic of discussion and thus science became an important part of literature. Literature as a whole got changed with the whole new idea of science and new discoveries related to it. New scientific terms got added into the English dictionary. Many novels, magazines, newspaper articles and other means of literature mostly talked about new inventions in the field of technology. Thus, science became a big influencing factor in literature in recent years.
