The nature of our conversation prior to the concert was with regards to the different critiques that we had read about the key performers and other vital information. I had looked up some of the performance critiques of Christian Sharpe and Zoltman Kalman. Christian Sharpe is accolade for working with renowned conductors like Zubin Mehta and Valery Gergiev. In more recent seasons he has been with the Toronto Symphony. Zoltan Kalman, a clarinetist, is the principal clarinetist of the Niagara Symphony and also teaches at the Brock. Similarly, we also shared other information about the key people, the pieces of music and other aspects.We were aware that we did not have to take notes. Some of us had looked up the Sakai so most of us knew that we need not take notes during the concert. However we were equipped for note taking just in case we wanted to jot down some pointers for our own interest.
