Liberalism is one of the most forward looking and freedom-seeking ideology that has been developed when there was seen a major imposition of rules, laws, and statutes which were seen to be restricting man’s freedom of will. The rise of liberalism can clearly be traced to the rise of religions, its dogmatic fixedness, and then the strengthening of belief in the capitalism across the world and its practices. Those who believe that liberalism is more inclined to culture because of its difficulty in universalisation, tend to take it forward and promote it to free people from cultural constraints and a lead a freer life. Those who believe that liberalism is dissociated from culture and has been existent even before the formation of culture, tend to promote that liberalism is a way of life and be applied where it restricts man’s freedom, both of choice, will and conduct. Its philosophy is a never ending debate and has been influential in shaping the modern religions, and modern business.

Culture, as per, cannot be separated from the idea of religion, because religion was the first to impose a fixed law and a code of behaviour on individuals, which later came to be called as culture and formed its own shell of cultural norms. The culture when formed had numerous implications on the life of people who chose to live in a specific way but were somehow entangled in blind adherence to such as extent which ripped them of their own individual liberty (Kernohan, 1998). The loss of individual liberty makes one behave and follow the culture in obligation and not out of love when one wants it, hence the birth of liberalism which brought forward the idea that man must be given a free code of behaviour in religion and culture such that he is not imposed to follow specific dogmatic rules, and is allowed to flourish as per his wish.
